The homemade registration board:
Constructed of 1/4" plywood, 1/4" square dowel and some 1x2" pine! I also use 1/2" square dowel if i need a wider border.

A look at my set up
So here is a couple of pictures (again, sorry for the crummy phone pics) of my work area.
